MAGIC. LOVE. DESTINY.
When I first started to think about what I wanted to write, Violet was the first piece of the story that came to me. I was able to build her life around her; friends, a house, a job but it took a little while to figure out where in the world she was.
After many hours with a yellow note pad, the idea of a small beach town came to me. Not only did it fit Violet, who she was, her everyday life, but I also loved little beach towns.
Heading to google maps, I started to search along the west coast for a town that would be perfect. When I started searching through the images of Pismo, I didn't even have to try and imagine Violet in the setting because she was already there.

Where do you go when you're angry?
The beach. There's just something soothing about the water that always calms me down
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I wish I was more outgoing.
Which talent would you most like to have?
The ability to eat donuts all day and not gain a single pound.
What do you consider the most overrated virtue?
Patience, it sucks!
What is your worst childhood memory?
The death of my parents.
