Last week I launched Soothsayer and I couldn't be more excited!! It's the coolest feeling in the world, to type your name into the Amazon search bar and see your book pop up. I really never dreamed that any of this could be possible. Soothsayer was just a story in my head that I decided to write for fun. Having it published and out in the world is an awesome feeling and to be honest a little scary!
All my hard work and dedication has finally paid off. Writing and publishing a book isn't easy by any means. But holding my book in my hands for the first time, was incredible. I've carried around Soothsayer for years in a giant binder, and now it's a beautiful paperback. Yay!
Learning a whole new industry hasn't been easy either and its taken a lot of work, but it really has been worth it. I can't wait to launch the next book in the series now! I know, I know, I should celebrate this book and enjoy the ride, but honestly launching Soothsayer has made me want to keep writing and keep publishing. There's nothing like hitting the publish button and seeing your book go live for the first time!
I have to give credit where credit is due. Joanna Penn's Podcast and the Rocking Self Publishing Podcast have helped me learn so much about the self publishing world and I highly recommend every writer listen to them. Their podcasts have become the foundation in which I've begun to build my author platform and without their knowledge it would have been a much harder journey.
